2: Learning Highlight - G1 Exit Point Project

As part of their “Time Travellers” unit, students in Grade 1 have been mainly focused on being “historians”. To support their skills in History, Grade 1 students have been learning about their own personal pasts and have been able to start to organise the information they have discovered about themselves, their families and the past through timelines and categorisation. Grade 1 have been keeping their personal history information safe and building up a “Museum of Me” as they have progressed through the unit. The class are excited to share their historical research in their upcoming “Time Travellers” Exit Point presentation, where they will be showcasing their “Museum of Me”. Today’s learning highlight images show students continuing to build their own “Museum of Me”.

3: Revision Week Details

After the official school year ends, July 3rd to July 14th marks Hope’s “Revision Weeks.” The Revision weeks are only open to our current Hope students.

During these two weeks, all participating students will hone skills in ELA, mathematics, and other core subjects. Students will have the chance to catch up and/or go further in regular academic studies. Time will also be made for several different elective classes.

Given the nature of the program, some grades will be combined, and students will likely have different teachers running these classes.

If you are interested in having your child sign up for the Revision Weeks, please fill out the form below:

PLEASE NOTE: The deadline for signups is May 31.

4: Hope 2023 STEAM Fair

We're excited to announce the upcoming Hope Community STEAM Fair, where our students will showcase their creativity and teamwork while addressing local challenges. With a focus on the theme of "community," students have been working in selected groups to develop projects that aim to solve community problems or provide support.

Following the scientific method as a foundational process, students have been diligently preparing for the fair since January, dedicating Friday afternoons to their projects. They have explored various disciplines, including science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics, to devise practical and innovative solutions.

Save the date: June 23rd is when the Hope community will gather to witness our students' impressive projects. From environmentally conscious initiatives to deep-dives into technology, their presentations will demonstrate their dedication to addressing community needs and fostering unity.

Join us in celebrating the achievements of our students and their collaborative spirit at the Hope Community STEAM Fair. Together, we can make a positive impact on our community and create a brighter future for all.
