2: Curriculum Focus - Clonlara High School Visit
We are thrilled to have the opportunity to host two esteemed leaders from Clonlara, Ms. April and Ms. Sofia, at our school this week. Their visit marks an exciting opportunity between Hope and Clonlara, as we collaborate to ensure a high level of learning in our High School program.
Throughout their stay, Ms. April and Ms. Sofia will actively engage with our students and teachers, fostering valuable connections and sharing their expertise. They will be visiting various classes, engaging in conversations with both parents and students, and providing training to our high school teachers on the Clonlara curriculum.
We extend a warm welcome to Ms. April and Ms. Sofia, and we encourage our students, parents, and staff to embrace their visit. Let us come together as a community to foster a sense of camaraderie, share insights, and make the most of this valuable learning experience.
The collaboration between Clonlara School and Hope International School presents a wonderful opportunity for growth, innovation, and the exchange of ideas. We are confident that this visit will inspire and enrich our educational practices.

3: Learning Highlight - Fieldtrips
At Hope International School, we believe in providing our students with valuable real-world experiences that complement their classroom learning. Recently, several of our classes had the opportunity to take field trips around Okinawa, strengthening the connections between their curriculum and the local community.
These field trips were planned to align with the subjects being taught in the classroom. Some recent trips include:
G1M, G1B, G7: Okinawa Prefectural Museum - A study of the history of Okinawa.
G3: Okinawa Zoo - Inquiry into the business side of running the Okinawa zoo.
G5: Ice Skating - A chance to try new and challenging skills
High School: Onna Forest Adveture - To face fears and overcome obstacles
These field trips provided hands-on learning experiences that sparked curiosity and appreciation for Okinawa's culture and environment. Our teachers organized these trips with great dedication, ensuring they were educational and aligned with the curriculum. We extend our gratitude to them for their effort and commitment.
We also want to thank the parents and guardians who supported these field trips. Your involvement and encouragement play a crucial role in creating memorable learning experiences for our students.
By connecting classroom learning to the real world, we aim to foster a love for learning and equip our students with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive. We look forward to more opportunities next school years for our students to explore and make meaningful connections beyond the classroom.
